Job Description

Description:

The Senior Accountant will join La La Land's corporate accounting team in a high-visibility role reporting to accounting leadership. This position spans day-to-day transactional accounting through strategic financial analysis presented to leadership, and is expected to grow over time from hands-on ownership of core accounting processes into a role overseeing staff accountants and driving process and controls improvements across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Accounting & Reporting

  • Perform monthly corporate accounting duties, including month-end close and account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
  • Assist with accounting support across other divisions within the company

Financial Analysis & Business Support

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support leadership in strategic planning
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders as the business continues to scale

Audit, Compliance & Special Projects

  • Support the Controller on various projects and assist with audit and compliance preparation
  • Work on various other special projects as the business and accounting function continue to grow
Requirements:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong work ethic and willingness to roll up your sleeves and help wherever needed; a great attitude is a must
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Comfortable working across every level of the business, from the ground floor to executive leadership
  • Restaurant or consumer products industry experience preferred, though not required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • CPA required
  • 2–4 years of Big 4 public accounting experience or comparable audit experience with a mid-market firm

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use may be required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site office environment 5 days per week
