Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory / Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our Defense and Commercial Department in Production Plant 2. This non-exempt position reports to the Director of Supply Chain and is responsible for managing inventory control while supporting shipping and receiving operations. The role ensures accurate material flow, proper documentation, and compliance with company, industry, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Track and manage stock levels of raw materials and finished transparent armor products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software and/or ERP systems.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and production to maintain adequate material levels and support production schedules.

Shipping Operations:

  • Prepare, package, and ship products to ensure timely delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with packing and shipping requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.

Receiving Operations:

  • Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage, quality compliance, and discrepancies; report issues as needed.
  • Enter receiving transactions into ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • File and maintain required documentation.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Visually inspect incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Ensure all inventory, shipping, and receiving practices comply with safety, regulatory, and internal standards.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Wear required PPE and adhere to plant safety protocols.

General Duties:

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Document and report workplace incidents and safety concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Workload may vary between Inventory, Shipping, and Receiving departments as needed.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Manufacturing/production plant environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
  • Ability to squat, crouch, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.

Must pass drug test and background check.

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 6:30am-4pm, Friday 7am to 11am

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Entry-level position; prior warehouse or manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain forklift certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
