Part-time Housekeeper- UES, NYC in New York, New York at The Calendar Group

A private family on the Upper East Side is seeking an experienced, discreet, and reliable Housekeeper to care for their 4,000-square-foot home. The household includes two adults, two teenagers, and two friendly cats. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a beautiful home, managing laundry, and assisting with light household errands and occasional meal preparation. The family is flexible on schedule for the right long-term fit.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of a 4,000-square-foot private residence.

• Perform daily housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen, and general upkeep.

• Manage household laundry, including washing, folding, and organizing clothing and linens.

• Perform light ironing; most dry cleaning and shirts are sent out.

• Polish and care for the household's silver approximately four times per year.

• Order household cleaning supplies and assist with grocery orders.

• Prepare simple family meals approximately 1–2 times per week, as needed.

• Provide basic care and oversight of two friendly household cats.

• Maintain a high level of discretion, privacy, and professionalism within the household.

Qualifications

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Comfortable working independently and taking initiative.

• Experience with delicate garments, light ironing, and silver care preferred.

• Comfortable around cats and willing to provide basic pet care.

• Able to assist with occasional grocery ordering and light cooking.

• Reliable, trustworthy, discreet, and service-oriented.

• Long-term commitment and a genuine interest in becoming a trusted member of the household.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 12:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. or 1:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Salary: $45 - $50 per hour
