Job Description

Senior Social Growth & Operations Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Social Growth & Operations Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to drive social media growth initiatives by transforming strategic priorities into scalable execution plans.
The Senior Social Growth & Operations Manager will oversee cross-functional projects, improve operational workflows, and help expand digital brands across major social platforms.
This position combines social media expertise, project ownership, content development, and performance analysis to accelerate audience growth.
You will collaborate with creative, publishing, video, and brand teams to launch new initiatives and optimize existing content strategies.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of building systems while actively contributing to content ideas, testing, and execution.
This is an opportunity to shape social-first growth strategies in a fast-moving environment focused on innovation, experimentation, and measurable impact.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Social Growth & Operations Manager is responsible for turning high-level social media objectives into structured projects, scalable workflows, and measurable growth initiatives. This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, operational discipline, creative execution, and strong collaboration across multiple teams.

  • Translate strategic priorities into clear project plans with defined owners, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Own key initiatives from concept development through launch, optimization, and transition into scalable processes.
  • Coordinate projects across social publishing, brand development, video, and platform expansion teams.
  • Maintain visibility into active projects, deadlines, priorities, risks, blockers, and next steps.
  • Build workflows, documentation, and reporting systems that improve consistency, accountability, and execution speed.
  • Identify operational gaps and create solutions that reduce unnecessary coordination efforts.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
  • Evaluate brands, audiences, and content formats to determine the best opportunities for platform expansion.
  • Create platform-specific strategies rather than relying on identical content distribution across channels.
  • Launch and grow new social accounts, content formats, and digital brands from the ground up.
  • Develop repeatable frameworks for scaling successful concepts across multiple platforms and audiences.
  • Define positioning, audience strategies, content pillars, and recurring formats for new initiatives.
  • Partner with creative teams to develop video concepts, series ideas, scripts, hooks, titles, thumbnails, and content packaging strategies.
  • Create clear briefs and prototypes that enable creators and editors to execute effectively.
  • Analyze performance data across platforms, brands, and content formats to identify opportunities and improvements.
  • Build testing plans and translate audience insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Monitor social trends, cultural moments, and audience behavior to identify opportunities for rapid execution.
  • Communicate project progress, performance insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a social media growth professional with strong operational skills and experience building audiences through engaging, platform-native content. This person should combine creative judgment with analytical thinking and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.

  • Significant experience growing organic audiences for social-first media brands, digital publishers, or similar organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of major social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X.
  • Proven ability to turn ambiguous ideas into structured projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong project ownership skills with the ability to manage priorities independently and drive execution.
  • Experience creating content directly, including ideation, scripting, packaging, or format development.
  • Experience launching new social accounts, brands, content formats, or audience growth initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of internet culture, entertainment, gaming, fandom communities, and trend-driven publishing.
  • Experience developing video concepts, recurring formats, hooks, titles, thumbnails, or creative strategies.
  • Strong creative instincts combined with the ability to use analytics and performance data to guide decisions.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams, stakeholders, and functional areas.
  • Experience using analytics and reporting tools to evaluate performance and optimize strategies.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to create clear plans, briefs, and updates.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Experience within a social-first media company or digital publishing environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Facebook organic publishing and monetization strategies is a plus.
Benefits:
  • Remote work flexibility within a distributed team environment.
  • Opportunity to shape the growth strategy of established and emerging digital brands.
  • Ability to work across major social platforms and innovative content formats.
  • Collaborative environment with teams focused on publishing, video, and brand development.
  • Opportunity to influence audience growth through experimentation, analytics, and creative execution.
  • Career growth opportunities within a fast-moving digital media organization.
