The role focuses on addressing emerging threats at the intersection of artificial intelligence, physical systems, and critical infrastructure.
You will explore solutions that protect AI-enabled environments where cyberattacks can create real-world operational consequences.
The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with founder ambition, commercial vision, and the ability to build a high-impact venture.

Accountabilities:

The AI Founder, Physical Cybersecurity will lead the creation and development of a venture focused on securing AI-powered physical environments. This role requires a combination of technical insight, entrepreneurial leadership, market understanding, and the ability to transform emerging cybersecurity challenges into scalable business opportunities.

  • Define and develop a vision for a cybersecurity company addressing vulnerabilities in AI-enabled physical systems and critical infrastructure.
  • Explore opportunities across areas such as adversarial robustness testing, sensor and control loop integrity, AI-assisted incident response, and physical cybersecurity.
  • Leverage industry expertise to identify customer pain points, validate market opportunities, and establish a strong product-market fit.
  • Build and execute an early-stage company strategy, including product development, go-to-market planning, fundraising preparation, and customer validation.
  • Develop relationships with potential customers, partners, investors, and industry experts within cybersecurity and critical infrastructure sectors.
  • Recruit, inspire, and lead a world-class founding team capable of building transformational technology solutions.
  • Work with experienced operators and advisors to accelerate business design, product execution, growth strategy, and operational maturity.
  • Drive early traction by developing an effective go-to-market approach and establishing initial customer relationships.
  • Represent the company vision externally and communicate the value of innovative cybersecurity solutions to technical and business audiences.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial cybersecurity professional with experience building, selling, or operating within the industrial security and critical infrastructure ecosystem. This person should have the technical depth, leadership ability, and ambition required to become a venture-backed founder.

  • Proven early-stage operator experience with a track record of building, scaling, or commercializing technology products.
  • Deep understanding of operational technology (OT) security, industrial cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, or related domains.
  • Experience working with environments such as utilities, energy, manufacturing, industrial systems, or other high-impact physical infrastructure.
  • Understanding of the limitations of traditional cybersecurity approaches when AI systems interact with physical processes.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities, define product strategies, and translate complex technical challenges into customer solutions.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build and lead a venture-backed company.
  • Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with customers, investors, technical teams, and industry stakeholders.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and their potential to create meaningful global impact.
  • Based in the United States or Canada with the ability to collaborate effectively across North American time zones.
