Job Description

Senior Trust and Safety Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Trust and Safety Manager based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to build and lead a critical Trust & Safety function from the ground up within a rapidly growing healthcare technology environment.
You will be responsible for protecting a distributed field workforce while creating scalable programs, policies, and systems that prioritize employee safety.
The position combines strategic planning, operational execution, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams.
You will identify safety risks, design prevention strategies, and implement solutions that directly impact frontline employees.
Working closely with People, Legal, Privacy, Clinical, Product, and Operations teams, you will establish best practices for a growing organization.
This is an impactful opportunity for a proactive safety leader who thrives in ambiguity and enjoys building programs that make a meaningful difference.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Trust and Safety Manager will own the development and execution of a comprehensive safety program designed to protect field teams and improve operational resilience. This role requires a hands-on leader who can assess risks, build scalable processes, implement solutions, and create a strong culture of safety across a distributed workforce.

  • Conduct discovery and risk assessments to identify safety gaps, incident trends, and high-priority areas requiring action.
  • Develop and own the Trust & Safety roadmap, including priorities, timelines, training milestones, and long-term program strategy.
  • Create and maintain safety policies, emergency response procedures, escalation workflows, incident reporting standards, and investigation frameworks.
  • Research, evaluate, and implement safety solutions such as hardware tools, monitoring systems, and operational safeguards.
  • Build and manage field safety education programs through training materials, workshops, team sessions, and ongoing communication channels.
  • Partner with Legal and Privacy teams to ensure compliance when implementing programs involving monitoring, recording, employee data, or sensitive information.
  • Act as a key escalation point for serious safety incidents by coordinating response efforts and supporting affected team members.
  • Define and monitor Trust & Safety metrics, including incident frequency, response times, training completion, engagement levels, and safety outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes, increase adoption, and strengthen organizational safety standards.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced Trust & Safety, workplace safety, risk, or operations professional with a proven ability to build programs from inception. You should be comfortable operating independently, managing complex initiatives, and influencing teams through strong communication and practical solutions.

  • 6+ years of experience in trust & safety, workplace safety/EHS, corporate security, risk management, or field operations.
  • 2+ years of experience owning programs, leading initiatives, or managing teams.
  • Proven experience building a safety or risk function from the ground up rather than maintaining an existing framework.
  • Experience supporting distributed, in-person, or frontline workforces is required.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety practices, incident management, injury response, investigations, OSHA recordkeeping, and workers’ compensation processes.
  • Experience collaborating with Legal and Privacy teams on programs involving employee monitoring, recording, PII, or PHI handling.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to create policies, executive updates, and employee-facing training materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of safety programs among frontline teams through trust-building and effective communication.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and dependencies in a fast-moving environment.
  • Genuine commitment to employee wellbeing and the ability to support teams during challenging situations.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in healthcare, home health, mobile services, logistics, or other industries involving employees working independently in customer locations.
  • Familiarity with lone-worker safety technologies such as body cameras, panic buttons, GPS check-in systems, dashcams, or fleet telematics.
  • Certifications such as CSP, ASP, OHST, or experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation training.
  • Experience developing learning programs, education libraries, or LMS-based training initiatives.
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment regulations related to employee monitoring and recording requirements.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000.
  • Valuable stock option plan.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Flexible and unlimited vacation policy.
  • Opportunity to work in a high-growth healthcare technology environment.
  • Ability to directly influence employee safety programs and organizational culture.
  • Collaborative environment with talented, ambitious, and mission-driven colleagues.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a meaningful mission focused on improving access to healthcare.
