The Hand Therapy Team Leader is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
The Team Leader’s primary responsibility is to support the management of the Outpatient Hand Therapy program. They are responsible for direct patient care duties 90% of their scheduled hours with focus on hand therapy patients. The Team Leader will have responsibilities related to the mentor program, regional marketing and physician relationship management, as well as supporting the Director of Hand Therapy in any capacity that relates to the growth, development, and success of the Hand Therapy program. Team Leader also performs the job duties as outlined in the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) job description.
Qualifications
- Meets qualifications of Certified Hand Therapist.
- Five years of pertinent clinical experience.
- Demonstrates supervisory/leadership skills.
- Must work a minimum of 32 hours per week.
- Must present positive image and professionalism commensurate with the position.
- Must work a minimum of two evenings per week unless approved by their supervisor.
- Trained and certified biennially in BLS Healthcare Provider Level CPR.
- OT licensed in state of practice with secondary license obtained within 90 days.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands of the job are as follows:
- Frequent pulling, pushing, and lifting a minimum of 30 pounds. Reasonable assistance may be requested in situations exceeding this amount.
- Kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, standing, and walking.
