Riverbend is seeking a dedicated VP of Clinical Services to champion recovery-oriented care, integrate physical and behavioral health services, and lead our dynamic team of Program Directors.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), you will be the driving force behind our clinical programs and service delivery. You will collaborate with executive leadership to ensure our services are high-quality, person-centered, and compliant with all state and accreditation standards.

What You’ll Do
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CAO and Executive Team to execute organizational priorities, manage resource utilization, and evaluate clinical outcomes.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee daily clinical operations, ensuring excellence in crisis care, screenings, and patient-centered treatment.
- Team Empowerment: Supervise and mentor Program Directors, therapists, and care coordinators, fostering a collaborative and trauma-informed work environment.
- Community & Compliance: Represent Riverbend at state and community meetings while ensuring strict adherence to SAMHSA, State, and Joint Commission standards.
Who You Are:
- A Clinical Strategist: You have a proven track record of designing, scaling, and optimizing behavioral health programs—ensuring high fidelity to evidence-based practices while maintaining strict regulatory and grant compliance.
- A Champion of Your Team: You prioritize employee engagement, offering active mentorship to clinical supervisors and provisional staff to prevent burnout and foster a supportive, inclusive clinical culture.
- A Community Advocate: You understand the unique socioeconomic and systemic barriers faced by our vulnerable populations and know how to transform a healthcare system to meet patients exactly where they are.
- A Data-Driven Leader: You balance deep clinical intuition with strong financial acumen, comfortably utilizing outcome metrics and dashboard analytics to drive continuous quality improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health-related field.
- Licensure: Minimum of two (2) years licensed by the NH Board of Mental Health Practice.
- Experience: At least three (3) years of management experience in mental healthcare, including proven work with State and Federal systems.
- Requirements: Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance (or access to a reasonable alternative).
