Job Description

We're seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a key member of our executive leadership team, driving financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across a growing behavioral healthcare organization. Partnering closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and private equity sponsors, you'll lead the financial strategy that supports growth, M&A, operational scalability, and a successful future exit.

What You'll Do
- Partner with the CEO, Board of Directors, and private equity sponsors to execute the organization's growth strategy and investment objectives.
- Drive EBITDA growth through financial discipline, operational efficiency, revenue optimization, and margin improvement initiatives.
- Lead enterprise financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and rolling financial projections.
- Deliver executive-level financial insights through dashboards, analytics, and reporting on profitability, payer mix, utilization, and operational performance.
- Oversee enterprise accounting, financial reporting, audits, tax strategy, and regulatory compliance.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, capital allocation, debt compliance, lender relationships, and working capital strategies.
- Lead all financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions, including valuation, due diligence, financial modeling, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration.
- Develop scalable financial systems, controls, and infrastructure that support continued organizational growth.
- Prepare high-quality financial reporting packages for executive leadership, investors, lenders, and the Board of Directors.
- Support recapitalization, refinancing, quality of earnings (QoE), and exit readiness activities.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance organization across Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Revenue Cycle, and related financial functions.
- Partner closely with Operations, Clinical Leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology, and other executive leaders to drive enterprise performance and strategic initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (required)
- Master's degree (preferred)
Experience
- Ten (10) years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably within behavioral health or healthcare (required)
- Proven expertise in financial planning, forecasting, compliance, strategic finance, and executive leadership (required)
- Experience managing financial operations supporting organizations with annual budgets exceeding $200 million (required)
- Strong background in private equity environments, including EBITDA optimization, capital allocation, and investor reporting (required)
- Demonstrated experience leading mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, valuation, capital markets, and investor relations (required)
- Experience with ERP platforms and advanced financial reporting systems (preferred)
- Five (5) years of healthcare executive leadership experience (preferred)
Licenses & Certifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) (preferred)
