About This Position
The Interventional Nursing Manager works within the Interventional Radiology and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Department as part of an interdisciplinary team providing excellent patient care.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Cardiology and Interventional Nursing, the Interventional Nursing Manager is responsible for smooth and efficient patient flow within the interventional nursing departments. This position will be ‘boots on the ground’ and will assist staff in the interventional procedure rooms when the staff and/or provider needs their assistance.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing: BSN preferred
- Current Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the state of NY (RN).
- Interventional radiology and/or cardiac cath lab experience required.
- Current ACLS/BLS
- Previous clinical leader/charge nurse experience required.
- Considerable skills in dealing tactfully and effectively with a broad variety of individuals, including physicians, management staff, clinical staff, patients, families, and others.
- Must be able to problem-solve, handle emergencies, and have time management skills.
Typical Working Conditions:
Some exposure to communicable diseases or toxic substances, ionizing radiation, therapeutic preparations and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.
Typical Physical Demands:
Requires a full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries and pushes items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Full-Time, Exempt: 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: $95,000/annually w/$10,000 sign on bonus
