Nurse Manager in Syracuse, New York at Crouse Hospital

The Nurse Manager is delegated the authority and responsibility to assure the provision of safe, efficient and therapeutically effective nursing care to all patients within a geographically defined unit. In accordance with the objectives and policies of the hospital, the manager is responsible for assuring the nursing process is implemented effectively by evaluating the plan of care as well as the quality of care delivered by personnel assigned to that nursing unit.

Job Requirements: Current NYS RN licensure. Bachelors degree in Nursing OR a Bachelor's degree in another field with a Masters in Nursing. Demonstrated leadership ability and communication skills. Minimum three years experience as a staff nurse with a demonstrated expertise in clinical field. Certification in specialty area desirable. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within 2 weeks after hire.
