Bilingual Youth Outreach Specialist at Chicanos Por La Causa – Mesa, Arizona

POSITION SUMMARY

A Youth Outreach Specialist works with youth affected by homelessness by assisting youth with immediate case management services by connecting and assisting in navigating resources and services to help them return to permanent housing and provide stability for the youth. A youth outreach specialist works in coordination with the outreach team conducting street outreach in the community, where homeless youth congregate, providing information on the program, case management services, resources, and care packs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• High School Diploma or GED required and 2+ years of related experience; or
• Associates Degree in appropriate field of study and 1 year of related experience; or
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study and 1 year of related experience;
• Experience providing direct services to individuals who have experienced trauma
• Experience providing case management services in a crisis environment
• Related work experience preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Must have current Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to have within 60 days of employment
• Must pass a background screening prior to start
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish language is required.
• Valid AZ driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to show proof of registration/insurance. Must be 21 years of age to drive on behalf of CPLC, Inc.
• Must pass background screening prior to start
• Level One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance or ability to have within 60 days of employment; must maintain clearance.
