| Job Summary | Under the direction of the Safe Kids Fayette County Coalition Coordinator, the PRN Safe Sitter Instructor will be utilized to teach Safe Sitter Essentials courses throughout the year. The Safe Sitter Instructor will be responsible for delivering Safe Sitter curriculum in accordance with program guidelines and standards and will teach topics including babysitting skills, behavior management, first aid basics, business skills, and choking rescue. The instructor will prepare and maintain classroom and instruction materials and facilitate a fun and engaging environment for Safe Sitter Students. Instructor will be required to collect the course fees, track attendance, and complete program evaluations and will be expected to communicate regularly and clearly with program participants and parents. Instructor will be required to maintain, or obtain, Safe Sitter Instructor certification and complete all required continuing education or educational updates related to certification. Classes occur on an as-needed basis; schedule and frequency of classes fluctuate depending on community need. |
