Requirements:As the Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Commence by sourcing and securing the best talent available, specifically in technology, project management and health information. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for ensuring a consistent and exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruiting lifecycle; helping to build a strong employer brand; and attracting high-performing, experienced candidates using a range of sourcing methods and recruiting tools that support targeted talent pipelines.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, three to seven years of experience in talent acquisition, proficiency with applicant tracking systems, and the ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies for a variety of standard and technical roles. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with others across multiple departments and the capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic hiring environment.
- Create an exceptional candidate experience for every candidate regardless of hiring status.
- Manages full-cycle recruiting with increasing autonomy based on experience, ensuring timely communication and structured evaluation processes.
- Develops sourcing strategies tailored to individual roles using job boards, resume databases, and proactive outreach.
- Partner with hiring managers and Human Resources to ensure a collaborative relationship for recruiting initiatives.
- Provide input to ensure that teams consist of diverse, qualified individuals.
- Builds and maintains candidate pipelines for roles with recurring or anticipated needs.
- Form close relationships with hiring managers by providing regular updates to hiring managers on pipeline health, candidate status, and market conditions.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance recruiting workflows, communication practices, and candidate experience outcomes.
- Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
- Supports employer brand initiatives and participates in outreach efforts that strengthen talent attraction.
- Understands and communicates labor market conditions and shares relevant insights with hiring managers to set expectations and inform hiring decisions.
- Organize and attend various recruitment functions for the organization, including job fairs, open houses, and national conferences to build strong candidate pipelines.
- Ensures all recruitment and hiring functions comply with federal and state employment laws and are in line with company guidelines and policies.
- Manages candidate tracking and reporting in the applicant tracking system (ATS)], ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
- Uses reporting and metrics to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Three to seven years of experience in a talent acquisition with increasing autonomy and complexity based on experience.
- Experience in full-cycle recruiting.
- Experience in recruiting in the government industry highly desired.
- Proficiency with social media, resume databases and professional networks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and problem-solving skills, along with a strong customer service focus.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a high volume of open requisitions.
- General knowledge of employment best practices and compliance laws.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) and common recruiting systems or tools.
