Job Description
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team. This position reports to the Controller and assists in the daily operation of the department. Your work will include: implementing internal controls, budgeting, annual audit and tax preparation, and the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed. You will review and verify the accuracy, completeness and consistency of reported data; provide assistance in the ongoing integration of accounting policies and procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline business processes and enhance reporting and analysis functions.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
· Review and maintain client contract database
· Manage follow up on Accounts Receivables.
· Maintain A/P system records in accounting software
· Manage purchase orders
· Prepare and distribute 1099 tax forms
· Process expense reports
· Compile and analyze financial information
· Review, investigate and correct errors in financial entries and documents
· Prepare monthly and year end reconciliations
· Special Projects requiring analysis, planning, research and organization
· Maintain payroll reporting
· Process invoices
Education/Experience/Qualities:
¨ Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) Accounting degree preferred.
¨ 2+ years of experience in accounting
¨ Prior manufacturing experience preferred
¨ A solid, demonstrated understanding of accounting concepts.
¨ Advanced proficiency with MS Excel formulas, data features and pivot tables.
¨ Ability to organize, self-prioritize, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment
¨ Detail-orientation with high competency for identifying trends and detecting errors.
¨ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
¨ Solid communication skills, including the ability to present findings in a clear, concise manner.
¨ The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in performing all essential duties.
