The Role at a Glance

Kanto Corporation is seeking an experienced High-Purity Technical Specialist (Lead Technician) to support Kanto Corporation’s high-purity chemical manufacturing operations through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, equipment repair, and technical leadership. This role is responsible for maintaining chemical transfer and mixing systems, supporting ISO tank and container certification activities, driving equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to Kanto’s Operating Priorities of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and maintain high-purity chemical production systems including wet chemical transfer, mixing systems, and container handling operations.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to maintain uptime, throughput, and product quality.
  • Perform and lead preventive and predictive maintenance; support mechanical integrity programs.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair pumps, valves, piping, and chemical handling equipment.
  • Execute certification, recertification, and repair of ISO tanks, totes, and drums, including required testing and documentation.
  • Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of new processes and production equipment.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Provide day-to-day technical guidance, training, and support to Production Technical staff (working lead role).
  • Work within process safety management (PSM) practices and support hazard identification, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO and regulated manufacturing quality systems, maintaining accurate records.

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience maintaining chemical production equipment.
  • Experience with chemical transfer, mixing, and bulk chemical handling systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with industrial mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, SOPs, and technical documentation.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work safely in production environments requiring PPE, including respirators.
  • Certified or ability to be certified as a Hazardous Materials Technician as per 29 CFR 1910.120(q)(6)(iii).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for long periods, and work in industrial environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-purity or semiconductor chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience with ISO tank certification or pressure vessel inspection.
  • Familiarity with process safety tools (PHA, MOC).
  • Experience working within ISO or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Exposure to process controls, instrumentation, or PLC systems.
  • Prior lead or senior technician experience.
