Advisor Compensation Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Advisor Compensation Analyst based in the United States.

This fully remote role offers the opportunity to play a key part in the accurate and efficient administration of variable compensation for financial advisors. You will manage semi-monthly compensation cycles, analyze payment data, and maintain systems that support accurate calculations and timely payments. The position combines accounting, compensation analysis, reporting, systems administration, and process improvement in a collaborative environment. You will also support the integration of new advisor teams and help ensure compensation arrangements are accurately reflected in internal systems. The role involves direct interaction with advisors and cross-functional partners, requiring strong judgment, communication, and attention to detail. It is well suited to an organized professional who enjoys solving problems and improving operational processes.

Accountabilities:
  • Gather variable compensation requirements and manage semi-monthly compensation processing cycles for financial advisors.
  • Analyze and update Salesforce dashboard reports and other pre-processing information required for accurate compensation calculations.
  • Review compensation by payee each pay period, investigate discrepancies, and ensure payments are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain compensation systems and accurately enter new financial advisor agreements and related compensation information.
  • Review, code, design, and test system configurations supporting variable compensation calculations.
  • Develop enhanced reporting, dashboard, and archival processes to improve visibility, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the setup and review of variable-compensated advisors, ensuring compensation arrangements are properly established.
  • Assist with diligence reviews and integration planning involving contracts, solicitor agreements, employment agreements, and other compensation-related documentation.
  • Participate in integration meetings and communicate relevant information across accounting and other internal teams.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support advisor compensation changes and team-level compensation planning.
  • Communicate directly with financial advisors to resolve compensation questions and provide clear, professional support.
  • Analyze compensation issues, recommend appropriate process or system improvements, and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Use AI tools effectively in day-to-day activities, applying appropriate prompting, reviewing AI-generated information for accuracy, and identifying opportunities to improve productivity while maintaining quality.
  • Stay current with evolving AI tools and methodologies and apply them appropriately within the scope of the role.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of professional experience, training, military experience, or education in accounting, business, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional business experience; experience in accounting, auditing, compensation processing, or a related function is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work confidently with business data and reporting tools.
  • Experience analyzing financial or compensation information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with financial advisors and stakeholders across organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate sensitive or confidential compensation information appropriately.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage recurring deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Ability to learn compensation systems, reporting processes, and new technologies quickly.
  • Demonstrated AI literacy, including the ability to craft effective prompts, evaluate AI-generated content, understand appropriate use cases and limitations, and incorporate AI tools into daily workflows.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment while maintaining accountability, responsiveness, and consistent communication.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Starting base salary range of $60,000–$70,000, excluding bonuses and benefits.
  • Full salary grade for the position of $67,300–$97,600, with starting compensation determined by factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, credentials, market conditions, and other relevant considerations.
