- Manage account reconciliations and monthly accounting activities for assigned accounts, including prepaids, commissions, rebate reserves, and other financial areas.
- Prepare recurring journal entries, month-end accruals, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Administer distributor rebate programs by reviewing customer deductions, claims, and contract compliance requirements.
- Serve as a key contact for intercompany transactions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Partner with non-finance stakeholders to analyze sales deductions, expenses, and operational activities to determine appropriate accounting practices.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing account schedules, documentation, and financial support materials.
- Assist with state and local sales tax reporting activities across monthly, quarterly, semiannual, and annual filing cycles.
- Help maintain strong internal controls by following accounting policies, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting process optimization initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing, distribution, or product-based organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, accrual accounting, and financial controls.
- Experience working with ERP and financial systems; familiarity with OneStream and Infor is a plus.
- Additional experience with platforms such as XA, BaaN, Syteline, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Epicor, SAP, or similar systems is preferred.
- Exposure to rebates, sales deductions, intercompany accounting, or sales tax support is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the organization.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $50,000 to $75,000, depending on experience, location, and qualifications
