Accountabilities:
  • Own field sales activities and revenue performance for an assigned Southeast territory, taking individual responsibility for achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans designed to grow existing customer relationships while penetrating new enterprise accounts.
  • Build detailed customer account plans covering organizational structures, technology architectures, business requirements, use cases, current and desired states, pain points, and strategic priorities.
  • Translate customer requirements into compelling technology value propositions and clearly demonstrate business value, ROI, and differentiated outcomes.
  • Cultivate trusted, executive-level relationships across multiple lines of business and engage CXO-level stakeholders throughout complex sales cycles.
  • Prospect proactively through direct outreach, marketing-generated leads, professional networks, customer relationships, events, and targeted field activities.
  • Build and maintain a healthy, qualified sales pipeline through strategic prospecting, customer engagement, targeted campaigns, and collaboration with regional teams.
  • Manage opportunities from initial discovery through negotiation, close, expansion, and customer retention while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with alliances, OEMs, VARs, systems integrators, business intelligence providers, and independent software vendors to identify and develop new opportunities.
  • Represent the organization as a trusted industry ambassador with customers, partners, conferences, and industry forums.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs to identify new opportunities and inform go-to-market strategies.
  • Partner closely with Marketing and Product teams to provide customer and market feedback and help influence product priorities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and consistently deliver reliable, data-driven projections.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of field sales and/or account management experience within data platform management, data integration/CDC, analytics, databases, cloud, or related enterprise technology markets.
  • Demonstrated success selling complex enterprise software and IT solutions to large organizations.
  • Strong understanding of relational database management systems (RDBMS), with additional experience in object-oriented databases (OODBMS) and edge databases.
  • Working knowledge of SaaS, cloud, analytics, database, ETL, and broader data management technologies.
  • Proven record of sales achievement, including consistent quota attainment or overachievement, President’s Club recognition, or comparable performance milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close new enterprise relationships at the CXO level.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover business challenges, build compelling value propositions, and position technology solutions effectively.
  • Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and develop strategic relationships across multiple lines of business.
  • Strong forecasting discipline and the ability to provide highly accurate sales projections.
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM and sales automation platforms, as well as Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent professional experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Confidence presenting to large business audiences at conferences, industry forums, and customer events.
  • Highly self-motivated, adaptable, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude, strong customer-service orientation, and commitment to achieving shared objectives.
Benefits:
  • Competitive enterprise sales compensation package aligned with experience and market conditions.
  • Remote, field-based opportunity covering the Southeast United States.
  • Opportunity to work with mission-critical data technology used by major enterprise organizations.
  • Exposure to senior executives and complex, strategic enterprise accounts.
  • Opportunity to represent a broad portfolio spanning data management, integration, analytics, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Collaborative environment with close interaction across Sales, Marketing, Product, Alliances, and partner teams.
