Microsoft Identity & Devices Engineer-Client Consulting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Microsoft Identity & Devices Engineer – Client Consulting based in the Canada.

This role focuses on delivering modern identity and endpoint management solutions across complex enterprise environments, helping organizations strengthen security and streamline access across cloud and on-premises systems. You will work hands-on with Microsoft technologies to design, configure, and deploy identity and device management solutions that support secure, scalable operations. The position blends technical engineering with client-facing consulting, requiring the ability to translate architectural designs into effective implementations. You will contribute to improving security posture across Microsoft ecosystems while collaborating with architects, security engineers, and client stakeholders. The role offers exposure to large-scale identity modernization initiatives, including cloud migration and hybrid identity transformation. It is a highly collaborative environment where your work directly impacts how organizations secure users, devices, and digital access.

Accountabilities:
  • Work directly with client teams to support discovery, design, configuration, testing, validation, and deployment of Microsoft identity and device management solutions.
  • Implement and support Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Configuration Manager, Windows 365 Cloud PC, and related Microsoft 365 identity services.
  • Translate architectural designs and client requirements into technical configurations and production-ready identity and endpoint solutions.
  • Support migrations from on-premises Active Directory and third-party identity providers to Microsoft Entra ID and cloud-native architectures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate identity and device management solutions with security, compliance, and threat protection services.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of identity and endpoint environments.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices, service offerings, and internal knowledge sharing across identity and device engineering teams.
Requirements:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft identity and device management technologies including Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Configuration Manager, and SSO solutions.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and hybrid identity architectures.
  • Experience migrating on-premises Active Directory environments and third-party identity providers (e.g., Okta, PingFederate, SailPoint) to Microsoft cloud-native solutions.
  • Familiarity with endpoint management tools and competitive platforms such as Workspace ONE, Jamf, or similar technologies.
  • Experience working in Microsoft security and SecOps environments, including exposure to Microsoft Defender XDR.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical designs and implement them in enterprise-scale environments.
  • Preferred certifications such as Microsoft Security Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CISSP, or CISM.
Benefits:
  • Fully remote role across the United States and Canada.
  • Competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $130,000 depending on experience and location.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with 100% of employee medical premiums covered.
  • Generous and flexible PTO policy supporting strong work-life balance.
  • Retirement savings plan options for long-term financial planning.
  • Continuous learning opportunities, including certifications, training, and professional development support.
  • Inclusive and collaborative culture focused on innovation, growth, and knowledge sharing.
