Emergency Department Tech in Shreveport, Louisiana at Willis-Knighton Health System

We are currently seeking an Emergency Department Technician at our South campus. This position demands an individual who is self-motivated, works efficiently as a team member, able to follows directions, can remain calm in stressful situations, and demonstrates professionalism. This person would be under the direct supervision of the Registered Nursing staff. The duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Physician with physical examinations and procedures, assisting the Registered Nurse with treatments, assist with the comfort needs of our patients and families in emergency situations, maintain supplies in the department and treatment rooms, and transporting patients upstairs for admission. The minimum educational requirement for this position is a high school diploma or the equivalent. Completion of EMT or Nurse Aide Course is preferred (nursing school, medical school, previous hospital or military experience may substitute for this). The patient assignment is variable and orientation will be based on experience and level of comfort. Customer service and communication are key requirements for this position.
