Paramedic at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

Willis Knighton Health is seeking a National Registry EMT - Paramedic who attends ALS and BLS patients transported by the Willis Knighton Ambulance service. The paramedic is required to have active ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications. Must have the ability to obtain an appropriate Louisiana license for your certification level. These full-time position duties include, but are not limited to, ambulance inspection for cleanliness and proper equipment and medical supplies. Ordering supplies through the Asst. Director and maintaining ready response vehicles for patient transport. Monthly inspections of ALS equipment and medicine bags for current supply levels and expiration dates. Patient chart audits and signed PCS forms will require monthly inspections. The Paramedic will work cooperatively with other transport team members and demonstrate good public relations skills in dealing with physicians, nurses, hospitals, and referral agencies. They will also maintain professional behavior and represent Willis Knighton Health in a positive way. At least one year of experience in patient care is required for this position, and you must have a clear chauffeur's driver's license.
