Summary/Objective

The New Client Implementation Specialist provides timely and accurate set-up of new accounts. They process the initial payroll(s) with the client until it is determined that the payroll has been set up accurately and processing correctly.

Essential Functions

• Deliver a high-touch (“white glove”) onboarding experience that builds client trust and satisfaction.

• Make contact with new clients within 24 hours of receiving new contracts to gather all necessary information to onboard.

• Process first few payrolls and produce all necessary reports as required by client.

• Update and maintain employee and client information to ensure year-end processing of W-2’s is accurate. This includes names changes, pay rates, addresses, departmental changes, new hires, re-hires and terminations.

• Build and maintain working relationships with clients through excellent customer service.

• Work internally with all departments to onboard clients and their employees timely.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear in order to communicate with clients and coworkers. The employee is also required to see in order to inspect documents/spreadsheets for accuracy. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, utilize hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms in order to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hybrid position, with required work onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Hours are 8am – 5pm.

Required Education and Experience

A High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience is required. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and to establish a good, cooperative relationship with clients.

Preferred Education and Experience

A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred along with 5+ of payroll processing experience. Experience with Worklio payroll software is preferred, other payroll software experience is a plus.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
