About This Position

Position Overview
This position is responsible for overseeing human resources, employee relations, training, culture, health and wellness, and internal marketing support at House of Rental. The role supports management by creating structure, consistency, and accountability across employee operations while maintaining a positive and professional workplace. MUST be bilingual in Spanish and English written and spoken

Core Responsibilities
Human Resources and Employee Relations
Act collaboratively and proactively with management and staff to anticipate and resolve employee issues
Guide decision-making processes related to employee discipline and corrective actions
Assist with involuntary terminations and related communications when necessary
Review, enforce, and support company policies and procedures
Provide employee relations support, including attendance issues, investigations of complaints, and misconduct
Recommend employee relations practices that promote morale, accountability, and retention
Advise managers and supervisors on progressive discipline and employment matters
Ensure new employee performance evaluations are completed and assist supervisors as needed
Perform employee orientations, onboarding, and maintain accurate employee records
Assist the Office Manager with employee files and payroll-related documentation
Recruiting and HR Marketing
Serve as HR marketer focused on creating a positive candidate experience
Develop employer branding and recruiting strategies
Review resumes, conduct interviews, and participate in hiring decisions for production associates
Build and maintain relationships with candidates through targeted communication and outreach
Employee Training and Development
Develop and implement employee training programs across departments
Provide health, safety, and customer service training
Implement structured onboarding and on-the-job training
Coordinate refresher training as procedures, equipment, or policies change
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures for all employee positions
Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and expectations by position
Ensure SOPs are practical, current, and consistently applied
Update SOPs as operations, equipment, or policies change

Performance Management
Support and participate in quarterly employee performance reviews
Assist managers in evaluating performance, attendance, attitude, and job competency
Identify training needs, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement
Update SOPs and training materials quarterly based on operational feedback
Sales and Marketing Support
Coordinate store promotions, displays, customer giveaways, and external displays
Health, Safety and Wellness
Promote workplace health, safety, and wellness initiatives
Work with all employees on Wellness benefits
Support training related to safety practices and risk reduction
Assist management with maintaining a safe and compliant work environment
