JOB TITLE: PARENT EMPOWERMENT SUPERVISOR

PROGRAM: Parent Empowerment Program/Domestic Violence Division

STATUS: Full Time

FLSA DESIGNATION: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Director of Family Violence Services

CERTIFICATION:

DEGREE: Master’s in Social Work or related field, or Bachelors with experience AND

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years working with families, knowledge of child development, motivational interviewing, trauma informed care, and reflective and clinical supervision

RATE: $26.05

**Travel throughout Niagara County**

AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid NYS Driver’s License
  • Reliable transportation

AGENCY EXPECTATIONS:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the program, missions, and services of Pinnacle Community Services, Inc., (PCS)
  • Complies with all policies and procedures of PCS (including NASW Code of Ethics, Collective Bargaining Agreement, and corporate Compliance Policies) and all governmental and legal requirements
  • Attends and participates in appropriate agency staff trainings and meetings
  • Advocates for cultural diversity/sensitivity as appropriate
  • Reports all suspected incidences of child abuse/neglect to NYS Hotline with supervisory approval
  • Experience and knowledge on the use of computers, cell phones and a broad understanding of using the Internet and e-mail in the workplace

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides regular, scheduled supervision to Program team members and student interns, as appropriate
  • Carries a small caseload as needed
  • Ongoing evaluation of service plan in supervision
  • Manages and assigns referrals as needed.
  • Provides parents with supportive and evidence based Parenting Curriculum and provides supervised visitation services, as appropriate
  • Provides client outreach services and occasional transport using personal car
  • Collaborates with Niagara County Department of Social Services on shared caseload
  • Attends Service Plan Reviews at DSS and Permanency Hearings at Family Court, when schedule allows.
  • Provides ongoing Quality Assurances measures
  • Responsible for ongoing documentation and record keeping
  • Responsible for reporting to funders, regulatory bodies and/or Agency as required by the Director of Parenting Services
  • Presentations for Parents Program services to community
  • Presents parenting educational information to community groups, as appropriate
  • Participates actively in regularly scheduled supervision with Family Violence Services Director
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Administration
