Description

Endeavor Health Services is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team at our 608 William clinic. The successful candidate will have a passion for helping people, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships. The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services to clients with a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. The ideal candidate will have a master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field, and experience providing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). The Behavioral Health Counselor will work collaboratively with a team of professionals to provide quality care to our clients and ensure that their needs are met. Job Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, couples, and family counseling to clients
  • Develop treatment plans and set attainable goals for clients
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate clients on topics related to mental health and wellness
  • Facilitate therapeutic activities and techniques to address client needs
  • Conduct assessments and provide crisis management when necessary
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress
  • Provide referrals to community resources as needed
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices
  • Advocate for clients in a variety of settings
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals as needed

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as mental health counseling or social work
  • Licensure eligible within 18 months of hire - Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), etc
  • One year of direct service, post-graduate, experience preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques, theories, and practices
  • Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse disorders
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships
  • Ability to identify and assess behavioral health issues
  • Ability to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals, groups, and families
  • Ability to provide crisis counseling and intervention
  • Ability to work with clients from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to document and maintain accurate records

Salary starting at $55,267.65 - 68,776/year depending on education, credential and experience.
