Key Responsibilities

• Consult with engineers, designers, and architects to debate design concepts.
• Create brand-new product designs.
• Describe the dimensions, measurements, and notes for the supplies required to finish the project.
• Make technical plans and schematics for building structures and assemblies.
• Collaborate with other staff to refine designs, gather technical information, and resolve problems.
• Modify and revise designs to address operational shortcomings and reduce production issues.
• Create and add technical notes to drawings where necessary.
• Present rough design sketches for client approval.
• Verify that product designs adhere to the necessary structural and safety standards.
• Utilize CAD software to produce CAD models for surfaces and solids.
• Combine technology with aesthetics to produce finished designs.
• Provide several design vantage points for construction adaptations and enhancements.

Essential Skills

• Working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications.
• Communication and interpersonal skills for efficient collaboration.
• Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in computer aided design or a similar course.
• 3 years of work experience.
• Understanding of the usage of AutoCAD
• Experience in a related role, an internship, or an apprenticeship.
• 2D drafting.
• 3D modeling
