We are currently seeking an experienced Permit & CAD Drafting Specialist to join our in-house team and contribute to the preparation of residential permit packages and construction drawings using SoftPlan and CAD.

Position Type:
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | In-Office Only
This position is not remote. Applicants must be available to work on-site in Kennesaw, GA.

• Draft complete permit drawing sets including:

  • Site plans, framing layouts, installation details

  • Color-rendered HOA/ACC submission drawings

  • Customer-approval layouts and basic electrical/mechanical plans

• Submit and manage building permits across Georgia municipalities (Cobb, Fulton, Cherokee, Paulding, Roswell, etc.)

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and municipal staff

• Present and review 3D SoftPlan models with customers

• Maintain records of submittals, inspections, and revisions

• Revise drawings promptly based on review comments or field changes

• Minimum 3 years of drafting experience in residential exterior construction

• Minimum 2 years experience preparing and submitting building permit applications in Georgia

• Proficiency in SoftPlan and CAD required (2D & 3D)

• Strong knowledge of Georgia building codes, zoning, setbacks, and easements

• Experience creating HOA/ACC color renderings for approval

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Must be fluent in English and have reliable transportation

• Background check and drug screening required
