SUMMARY
The E-Commerce Clerk position is a non-exempt role within the Retail and Contract Operations division, specifically in the E-Commerce/Retail department, reporting to the E-Commerce Manager. The E-Commerce Clerk is responsible for supporting online sales efforts by ensuring merchandise is accurately posted and listed on e-commerce platforms. This role requires strong attention to detail and organization to meet listing and performance goals. Overall, the E-Commerce Clerk plays a key role in maintaining efficient and effective online retail operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Meet daily listing and posting targets set by the E-Commerce Manager
- Sort, process, identify, and evaluate merchandise for online sale
- Research items and create effective listings to maximize value
- Take clear, detailed, and visually appealing product photos
- Write accurate, concise, and consistent product descriptions
- Maintain accurate records of listed and sold items
- Organize, store, retrieve, and catalog inventory properly
- Assist with packaging and shipping to meet delivery timelines
- Provide professional customer service and resolve issues efficiently
- Handle returns and communicate problems to management
- Follow all procedures for e-commerce merchandise handling and sales
- Support inventory control and report loss prevention concerns
- Use equipment safely and follow all safety policies and procedures
- Stay compliant with company safety standards at all times
- Perform additional duties as assigned
