Schedule: Sunday - Monday | 11:00 PM - 7 AM (16 hours)

About the Program

The Residential Service System (RSS) provides community-based residential services and supportive housing to individuals with behavioral health needs. Through a recovery-oriented and person-centered approach, our staff help individuals develop life skills, access community resources, strengthen relationships, and achieve their personal goals.

Position Summary

The Direct Support Professional provides direct support, supervision, and guidance to individuals in a residential setting. DSPs assist with daily living activities, promote community integration, support personal growth and independence, and help individuals achieve goals identified in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).

Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide support and supervision based on individualized, person-centered plans.
  • Assist individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
  • Encourage positive decision-making and healthy behavioral outcomes.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including:
    • Personal care and hygiene
    • Meal planning and preparation
    • Household upkeep and cleaning
    • Money management and life skills development
  • Administer medications in accordance with program policies and procedures.
  • Transport individuals to appointments, community activities, and other necessary destinations.
  • Support access to medical care, social services, benefits, and community resources.
  • Promote community engagement and participation in meaningful activities.
  • Complete documentation accurately and within required timeframes.
  • Collaborate with clinical and interdisciplinary teams to support participant success.
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges.
  • Ability to complete all required background checks, clearances, and employment screenings, including FBI clearance when applicable.
Preferred
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in mental health, behavioral health, residential services, or human services.
  • Experience supporting individuals in community-based programs.
