Manager, Recruiting & Onboarding

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Manager, Recruiting & Onboarding based in United States.

The Manager, Recruiting & Onboarding will lead a field-focused recruitment team supporting high-volume hiring across multiple markets. This role combines people leadership, recruitment strategy, employer branding, and operational execution to strengthen talent pipelines and improve the hiring experience. You will partner closely with operations leaders and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle, helping teams attract and onboard the talent they need. The position will also drive recruiting technology, process improvements, data tracking, and innovative sourcing initiatives. Success requires an analytical and adaptable leader who can identify bottlenecks, influence stakeholders, and turn recruiting insights into measurable improvements. Accountabilities:
  • Lead and manage the performance and day-to-day activities of the Field Recruitment team, establishing clear goals, expectations, and priorities.
  • Partner with operations leaders and hiring managers throughout the full recruitment lifecycle to support business and workforce needs.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines across assigned markets, leveraging traditional, non-traditional, diverse, digital, and grassroots sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and refine employer-brand initiatives designed to attract qualified candidates and strengthen the organization's position in competitive labor markets.
  • Recommend, implement, and optimize digital marketing and grassroots recruiting campaigns to expand candidate reach and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing adoption of recruiting technologies, tools, and processes that improve support for field operations.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve recruiting metrics, using data to identify bottlenecks, evaluate team performance, and guide decision-making.
  • Create an engaging and efficient hiring experience for candidates and hiring teams by continuously improving internal recruitment processes and systems.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop recruitment team members, including supporting hiring, training, performance evaluations, and employee development.
  • Address performance and disciplinary matters in accordance with established policies and applicable employment requirements.
  • Stay current on labor legislation and employment regulations and communicate relevant changes to leadership and hiring managers.
  • Champion organizational culture and values while fostering a positive, accountable, collaborative, and high-performing recruitment environment.
  • Travel regularly to support field operations, recruitment activities, and stakeholder needs, including travel in varying weather conditions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support broader talent and operational objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of overall recruitment experience, including 1–3 years of recruitment management experience.
  • Proven experience leading recruitment teams focused on high-volume, non-exempt hiring and process-driven recruiting environments.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment marketing, talent pipeline development, sourcing strategy, and candidate engagement.
  • RPO or staffing experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to use recruiting data and analytics to manage team performance, identify bottlenecks, evaluate trends, and communicate meaningful insights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to adjust strategies quickly when processes or outcomes are not meeting expectations.
  • Ability to build strategic partnerships with hiring managers, operations leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders while influencing without relying solely on authority.
  • Strong understanding of candidate and field employee experiences, with a focus on creating efficient, positive, and engaging hiring journeys.
  • Inspirational people leader with experience setting team goals, recognizing strong performance, coaching employees, and managing performance constructively.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment with shifting priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exchange information clearly and effectively across different audiences.
  • Comfortable working independently and remaining focused on business priorities while supporting a distributed field organization.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods as required for typical office and computer-based work.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly on a daily or weekly basis, including during inclement weather.
