Job Description

Description:

evo Purpose: To make life better by building community and igniting the adventurous spirit that lives within us all. evo is leading multi-channel retail brand that stands at the intersection of community, commerce, action sports and the outdoor lifestyle. This is personified by a distinctly curated product assortment and a creative approach to crafting highly differentiated customer experiences. We define success differently than most. Balancing our goals of (1) building an iconic brand and business (2) creating an extraordinary place and path for our employees and (3) leveraging our success to give back, helping to empower underprivileged children is paramount to evos success. We have a passion for community, sports and lifestyle, and a collective hunger when it comes to building a great company together.

The Job

evo is looking for a Director of DC Operations & Logistics to lead our U.S. distribution center, order fulfillment and logistics functions. You will be responsible for the people, processes, systems, and economics that power how we get product to our stores and customers across the U.S.

You will own our primary distribution center in Sumner, Wash. (a 239,000 sq ft facility handling over 1.0M units received and shipped annually), serving direct-to-consumer orders plus six brick-and-mortar retail locations. You will lead a permanent team of ~50 year-round (scaling to ~180 during our busiest periods). You will be a key leader in the organization, reporting directly to the CFO/COO.

The mandate is straightforward: run the warehouse efficiently, reliably, and with continuous improvement built into the daily rhythm. This leader will be responsible for improving the basics that matter most — accurate receiving, clean inventory flow, productive labor planning, efficient pick/pack/ship operations, smart freight decisions, and strong team leadership. We need someone who has operated in real warehouse complexity before, but who brings practical discipline more than theoretical playbooks. Success will show up in simple, measurable ways: better throughput, fewer errors, improved labor efficiency, lower avoidable costs, and a team that is engaged, capable, and accountable.

This role is built for someone who enjoys operating in a hands-on environment. You won’t inherit a large organizational structure or endless resources. Success comes from building capable teams, improving systems and processes, and knowing when to step in personally to move important work forward.

The Perks

  • 100% paid health dental and vision*
  • Paid vacation time*, sick leave, 40 hours volunteer paid time off
  • Paid parental leave for birthing & non birthing parents
  • Retail quarterly bonus program, profit share program* and long-term compensation program
  • 401k matching
  • Employee discount and access to pro deals on most the products we sell
  • NGEY (New Gear Every Year): a new ski or snowboard setup to use for the season*
  • Bike finance program and bike stipend
  • Time together outside, volunteer activities, community events, ride days and annual retreat
  • Flexible work schedules, remote work for eligible roles, and dog friendly offices
  • Career pathing, leadership development, network development, training and performance feedback

Note: Availability of the benefits and perks may be subject to your location, tenure and employment type. The Company reserves the right to alter these benefits and perks in whole or in part at any time.

*Benefit not eligible for seasonal employees

First: Learn the operation and lead the business in front of you

  • Build trust with the team, understand the rhythms of the operation, and ensure the fundamentals run smoothly.
  • Lead day-to-day DC and logistics operations across North America
  • Deliver on service levels, throughput, labor, inventory, and fulfillment metrics

  • Evaluate longer-term opportunities in automation, technology, and network design
  • Assess future fulfillment and capacity strategies, including partnerships and 3PL opportunities
  • Help shape the next generation of evo's operational capabilities

  • Disciplined and accountable. You set high standards, measure what matters, and create clarity around performance — without creating unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
  • Resourceful and action-oriented. You find ways to move the business forward with the team and tools available. You solve problems creatively and don't wait around for perfect conditions.
  • A strong communicator and partner. You translate operational complexity into plain language and work effectively across teams and levels of the organization.

  • Experience improving freight performance, carrier strategy, and fulfillment economics.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills and experience partnering across planning, merchandising, finance, and technology teams.
  • Experience with automation, 3PL models, or alternative fulfillment strategies is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred, but not required.
