About This Position
The Senior Human Resources Generalist serves as a key partner to leadership and employees by independently administering and supporting core HR functions across the employee lifecycle. This role is responsible for employee relations, compliance, recruiting support, benefits administration, HR operations, and policy implementation, while ensuring alignment with federal and Florida employment laws. The Senior HR Generalist operates with a high degree of autonomy, judgment, and discretion and is expected to proactively identify issues, recommend solutions, and execute HR initiatives that support business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations & Compliance
• Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, performance issues, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state (Florida), and local employment laws and regulations.
• Interpret, communicate, and consistently apply company policies and procedures.
• Partner with leadership to mitigate risk and address workplace issues.
Recruiting & Onboarding
• Support full-cycle recruiting efforts including job postings, screening, interviews, and offers.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation to ensure compliance and positive employee experience.
• Ensure proper completion of employment authorization and personnel documentation.
HR Operations & Administration
• Administer HR programs including benefits, leave management, attendance tracking, and payroll coordination.
• Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS.
• Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
• Assist with training delivery as needed.
HR Strategy & Partnership
• Act as a trusted HR partner to managers.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee engagement.
• Support HR planning and organizational development initiatives.
• Coordinate with external vendors as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and Florida employment laws.
• Demonstrated employee relations experience.
• Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
• HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP).
• Experience supporting organizations with 100+ employees.
• Multi-functional HR background.
