About This Position
The Human Resources & Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing weekly payroll and assisting with all HR and Payroll related queries. This role will drive team growth and employee development while fostering Easy Signs’ core values.
The Human Resources & Payroll Specialist will be involved in driving processes strategically and on a day-to-day basis to ensure the Easy Signs Culture is understood and lived by all employees. They will be approachable, empathetic, transparent, and trustworthy with an ability to work autonomously and take control of their tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively build lasting working relationships. This will be integral when communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Given the nature of the business and the growth it is experiencing, each day will be different, and tasks can be ad-hoc or project driven.
Process payroll weekly and ensure time cards are approved and correct.
Ensure all payroll policies and procedures are followed and reported accurately (e.g. 401k, Worker’s Compensation).
Onboarding new employees promptly including; coordination of accounts to be set up, setting up in payroll system, and allocation of uniforms and other company property.
Offboarding employees in a streamlined manner including; running exit interviews and collecting company assets (i.e. uniforms, access cards etc.).
Review the full employee life cycle at both a strategic and operational level.
Maintain, develop and implement best practices in compliance with Easy Signs’ policies and procedures.
Assistance with understanding industry standards and setting salary/hourly rate expectations for new roles and annually reviewing current rates to ensure compliance.
Coordination of HR cyclical events such as employee reviews and training.
End-to-end recruitment from generating job descriptions, ad posting, prescreening, interview scheduling and job offers.
Regular maintenance of template-based documents and employee files.
Maintaining the Employee Handbook to ensure accurate information.
Assist in the organization of company events as required.
Control all incident reports and ensure accurate recordkeeping to assist with preparation and filing of OSHA reporting.
Conducting culture ‘health checks’ to understand employee sentiment and assist in building greater connections to overall business operational goals.
Other administrative duties as required.
Bachelor of Business with a Major in HR or equivalent (preferred)
Demonstrated experience in a fast-moving growing organization
Intermediate computer skills to navigate multiple programs and basic troubleshooting
SHRM certified (preferred)
Bilingual- English & Spanish
Ability to learn and follow processes accurately
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate diverse audiences
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
