About This Position
Position Summary
The Night Auditor is responsible for balancing daily financial transactions, preparing audit reports, and supporting overnight guest services. This role ensures the accuracy of hotel revenue records while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests during nighttime hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Reconcile and verify daily financial transactions, including room charges, taxes, and incidentals
· Generate and distribute audit reports summarizing revenue and occupancy
· Assist guests with late-night check-ins, check-outs, and service requests
· Monitor property for safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
· Respond to emergencies and follow hotel safety protocols
· Communicate effectively with the morning shift and management
· Maintain confidentiality and uphold brand and service standards
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Prior hotel front desk or accounting experience preferred
· Familiarity with property management systems
· Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
· Excellent communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently and remain alert overnight
· Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and comply with California labor laws

While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works on their feet, occasionally works in outside weather conditions, and is occasionally exposed to vibration. The associate is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. This position is a guest facing position and requires constant interaction with the public.
