Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Manager, New Assets in Canada.
This role is focused on owning and expanding a critical part of a modern trading platform, centered on the design and delivery of new asset classes and trading capabilities. You will be responsible for shaping API-driven products that enable partners and developers to access and integrate complex financial instruments such as equities, FX, options, or money market funds. The position sits at the intersection of market structure, regulated brokerage infrastructure, and developer experience, requiring both strategic product thinking and hands-on execution. You will work across engineering, compliance, legal, and market operations to ensure products are both technically robust and regulatorily sound. Success in this role is measured by real-world adoption, trading activity, and partner integration quality rather than documentation output or release cadence alone. This is a high-impact position for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys building foundational financial infrastructure used at scale across global markets.
- Own and drive end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a specific trading surface or new asset class, ensuring alignment with partner needs, regulatory requirements, and platform capabilities.
- Design, define, and evolve API and developer-facing trading capabilities, including documentation, SDK usability, and integration experience for institutional partners and developers.
- Lead discovery with partners and prospects to understand real integration constraints, translate insights into structured backlogs, and manage trade-offs between feasibility, compliance, and business impact.
- Collaborate closely with compliance, legal, engineering, and market structure teams to ensure trading products meet regulatory standards while supporting scalable execution and best execution principles.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, including adoption, trading volume, order success rates, and partner feedback, iterating continuously to improve usability and reliability.
- Improve operational workflows within your product surface, including exception handling, automation opportunities, and internal tooling to support scalability.
- Communicate product status, risks, and outcomes clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management, Engineering, Consulting, or technical roles within fintech, brokerage, or regulated trading environments.
- Demonstrated experience owning or contributing to at least one trading domain such as equities, FX, options, order management systems, FIX integrations, or similar production-scale financial infrastructure.
- Proven track record of shipping developer-facing products, including APIs, SDKs, or platform integrations used by external partners.
- Strong understanding of regulated financial systems and ability to work alongside compliance, legal, and market structure stakeholders in production environments.
- Experience working with data analysis tools such as SQL and BI platforms to evaluate product performance and inform decisions.
- Strong business judgment and ability to balance technical constraints, regulatory requirements, and partner expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or equivalent practical experience.
- Competitive compensation package including base salary and potential stock options
- Remote-first work environment across North America
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and mental health support
- Home office setup stipend and monthly remote work allowance
- Professional development budget and opportunities to grow in financial infrastructure and trading systems
- Exposure to global-scale brokerage infrastructure and advanced trading technologies
- Inclusive and collaborative culture within a fast-growing fintech environment
