THE OPPORTUNITY

Deliver specialized C-130J pilot instruction in aircraft, classroom, simulator, and practical training environments at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas. You'll use recent C-130J Instructor Pilot or Evaluator Pilot experience to teach aircraft systems and operational procedures, evaluate student performance, provide remediation, and support curriculum and training-program activities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide C-130J pilot procedures instruction inaircraft, classroom, simulator, and other platform environments, including VTRAT, CRM, and IRC training.
  • Perform duties as a simulator operator as required and evaluate, diagnose, and critique student performance, including prescribed remedial instruction.
  • Support curriculum development and serve as a Lesson Subject Matter Expert by reviewing existing lessons and proposed changes.
  • Conduct ground training for other crewmembers and maintain proficiency in essential Aircrew Training Devices and instrument, take-off, landing, and emergency procedures.
  • Support scheduling, record keeping, student-progress monitoring, counseling, quality assurance, safety, security, training-program maintenance, and assigned project or development work.
  • Evaluate instructor personnel in classrooms and devices whenrequiredand perform biennial observation flights in MEP status asrequired.
  • Recommend improvements to training policies and procedures while promoting effective learning and adoption ofnew technologiesand tasks.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree and at least eight years of total flying experience, including five years of military experience. Recent experience as a C-130J Instructor Pilot or Evaluator Pilot and completion of a formal USAF Instructor training course arerequired.May substitute with equivalent military oradditionalrelated experience only where consistent with the stated C-130J qualification and instructor-experience requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate and remediate student performance, communicate effectively with customers and colleagues, interpret professional material, solve problems, and apply required technology skills.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including entering and experiencing simulator motion, standing to conduct instruction for up to six hours per day, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain andmaintaina Secret clearance.

WHAT WOULD SET YOU APART

  • At least two years or 200 hours of C-130J Pilot flight-instructor and training-management experience.
  • Experience with curriculum development, lesson review, student evaluation and remediation, CRM, IRC, VTRAT, courseware review, or training-program administration.
  • Experience with training technologies, database technologies, enterprise systems integration, and software evaluation techniques.

POSITION DETAILS

Location: Little Rock AFB, AR

Schedule: Full-time, hourly, FLSA non-exempt, on-site position aligned to Government site hours and expected to work 40 hours per work week. Evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, or odd shifts may be required when program support is needed. Individual’s work schedule will be communicated upon hire.

Travel: Less than 10%. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Security and access: DoD Secret clearance is required, or the candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This is a non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis. Compensation and benefits may be governed by applicable federal wage-determination or collective-bargaining requirements based on the assigned site and labor classification. Benefits and eligibility are provided in accordance with applicable CBA, NOVA plan terms and contract requirements.
