Certified CPR Instructor (PRN)
Little Rock, AR
ACCESS is seeking a PRN Certified CPR Instructor to provide CPR and First Aid training for employees on an as-needed basis. This position serves as backup coverage when our regularly scheduled instructors are unavailable and helps ensure employees maintain the certifications required for their positions.
The instructor is responsible for preparing course materials, conducting training sessions, evaluating participant competency, and submitting all required certification documentation in accordance with approved certification standards.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCPR Training & Instruction- Conduct CPR and First Aid training classes for employees as needed.
- Ensure all training follows approved certification guidelines and curriculum.
- Demonstrate proper emergency response techniques and safety procedures.
- Evaluate participants to ensure competency in CPR and First Aid skills.
- Submit required class paperwork to the American Heart Association (Jeff Jeffries).
- Submit training documentation to Human Resources as required.
- Prepare training materials and equipment prior to each class.
- Maintain and inspect CPR training equipment.
- Ensure the training environment is safe, organized, and conducive to learning.
- Ensure all training meets organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of CPR guidelines and certification updates.
Requirements: Qualifications
Education/Certification
- Current CPR Instructor Certification through an approved organization (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent).
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Previous CPR instruction experience preferred.
- Experience presenting information to groups preferred.
- Ability to effectively teach and demonstrate CPR and First Aid techniques.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage participants and encourage skill development.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to evaluate participant performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Ability to demonstrate CPR techniques, including chest compressions.
- Ability to kneel, bend, and assist participants during hands-on training exercises.
- Ability to lift and move CPR training equipment.
This is a PRN (as-needed) position with no guaranteed hours. Classes are scheduled based on organizational needs and instructor availability. The PRN instructor will provide coverage when one of our regularly scheduled CPR instructors is unavailable.
