About This Position

General Job Summary:

Senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations across multiple company locations, including personnel management, inventory control, fleet maintenance, procurement, and ERP system management. This position serves as the strategic leader for warehouse functions and the subject matter expert (SME) for the company's Penguin Data ERP system, with direct responsibility for all warehouse associates company-wide.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership & Personnel Management
  • Supervise and manage all warehouse associates across all company locations
  • Develop, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff performance
  • Establish staffing requirements and coordinate hiring processes
Strategic Planning & Performance Management
  • Develop and implement department-specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on KPI performance to VP of Finance
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations
  • Produce detailed reports and statistics regarding equipment, fleet, and inventory
Procurement & Materials Management
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies for all locations
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects and operations
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to optimize costs and delivery schedules
  • Establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support operational needs
ERP System Management (Penguin Data)
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Penguin Data ERP system
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for all warehouse personnel on ERP usage
  • Maintain ERP system data integrity and accuracy
  • Collaborate with IT and management to optimize ERP functionality for warehouse operations
  • Troubleshoot ERP system issues and coordinate resolution with appropriate resources
Operations & Inventory Management
  • Oversee all processes relating to receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
  • Conduct physical equipment and fleet counts and reconcile with ERP data
  • Maintain responsibility for zero asset losses
  • Ensure timely communication of losses, damage, and critical information to stakeholders
Fleet & Equipment Management
  • Oversee planned maintenance schedules for vehicles, machinery, and equipment
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure equipment availability and reliability
  • Manage equipment lifecycle including acquisition, maintenance, and disposition
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Conduct safety training and maintain safety programs across all locations
Stakeholder Relations
  • Represent company in warehouse-related management functions
  • Provide information and assistance to internal and external customers
  • Collaborate with VP of Finance on strategic planning and budget management
Position Requirements:Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse management experience
  • Proven experience managing multi-location operations preferred
Technical Skills
  • Expert proficiency with ERP systems (Penguin Data experience highly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems and inventory control
  • Expertise in creating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with procurement processes and vendor management
