The Vice President, Field Sales will provide strategic direction and operational leadership to the field sales organization, ensuring consistent execution of growth initiatives and exceptional customer experiences. The role will focus on building strong partnerships, developing sales talent, and driving measurable commercial outcomes.
- Lead and develop regional sales leaders and field sales representatives to achieve revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, retention, and market share goals.
- Execute field sales strategies aligned with broader go-to-market objectives and commercial priorities.
- Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, acting as a strategic partner and sponsor for major accounts.
- Build and strengthen relationships with strategic vendors and manufacturing partners to support shared growth objectives.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers and partners to identify opportunities, improve collaboration, and drive expansion.
- Coach and mentor sales leadership teams through performance management, leadership development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and operational excellence across the sales organization.
- Partner with revenue operations teams to improve forecasting accuracy, sales effectiveness, pipeline visibility, and execution.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, operations, finance, and supply chain teams to enhance customer satisfaction and commercial performance.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
- Represent the organization with customers, industry partners, and professional associations while contributing to executive-level strategy and planning.
The ideal candidate is an experienced executive sales leader with a strong track record of building high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, and managing complex commercial environments. This individual should combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and possess the ability to influence stakeholders across the organization.
- 10+ years of progressive executive sales leadership experience, preferably within distribution, renewable energy, manufacturing, industrial, construction, or related industries.
- Proven success leading geographically distributed field sales organizations and achieving profitable revenue growth.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into measurable sales execution.
- Demonstrated experience developing sales leaders, coaching teams, and building a culture of performance.
- Experience creating and maintaining strategic relationships with customers, vendors, and business partners.
- Strong executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, marketing, product, and supply chain.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience using CRM systems, ERP platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field preferred.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and customer-focused leadership.
- Competitive compensation package with a salary range of $160,000 - $180,000.
