  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert on interconnection frameworks, staying current with ISO-NE, NYISO, and broader industry and regulatory developments.
  • Strengthen internal delivery frameworks by improving QA/QC processes, technical standards, and execution efficiency across projects.
  • Mentor and develop a small team of engineers, fostering technical excellence, accountability, and strong client-facing capabilities.
  • Support client engagement by translating complex study results into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to business development activities including RFP responses, scope definition, and development of new service offerings and tools.
  • Represent the organization in industry forums, technical discussions, and publications to reinforce thought leadership.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in the electric power industry, with strong expertise in transmission planning, interconnection studies, or related power system analysis.
  • Direct experience working with ISO New England, NYISO, or utilities within these footprints, or consulting in these environments.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple study types such as deliverability, cluster studies, load interconnection studies, and benchmarking exercises.
  • Strong expertise in power system modeling and simulation, with proficiency in tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, PSLF, PowerWorld, TARA, and ASPEN.
  • Experience in IBR modeling, load modeling, and EMT studies is highly valued.
  • Strong understanding of interconnection standards, procedures, and regulatory frameworks in Northeast markets.
  • Proven ability to bridge technical depth with commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and operate effectively in uncertain or complex environments.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
Benefits:
  • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees
  • Generous paid time off and holidays
  • Employee ownership program
  • 401(k) plan with up to 4% employer match (100% vested from day one)
