Sr Manager Continuous Improvement

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Manager Continuous Improvement based in United States.

As a Sr Manager Continuous Improvement, you will lead enterprise-wide initiatives that improve how products, services, and operational processes are planned, delivered, launched, and optimized.
You will establish scalable frameworks that strengthen efficiency, quality, customer experience, and overall business performance.
The role provides senior leadership with clear visibility into portfolio health, organizational capacity, delivery risks, and strategic opportunities.
You will partner across product, commercial, clinical, laboratory, operational, and technical teams to identify bottlenecks and deliver meaningful improvements.
Using data, governance, and structured problem-solving, you will drive accountability and help teams adopt stronger operational practices.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced continuous improvement professional who can translate strategy into measurable organizational results.

Accountabilities
  • Lead enterprise product optimization initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality improvement, customer experience, workflow simplification, and business performance.
  • Develop and maintain product lifecycle management frameworks that support effective portfolio planning, optimization, and decision-making.
  • Partner with Product Management, Commercial, Laboratory, Clinical, and Operations stakeholders to identify opportunities for product and process improvement.
  • Support test menu optimization, portfolio rationalization, and lifecycle decisions while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, customer needs, laboratory capabilities, and operational goals.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards across Product and Program Management functions.
  • Identify and remove organizational bottlenecks that negatively affect delivery performance, efficiency, or business outcomes.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to ensure commitments, milestones, and strategic objectives are achieved.
  • Promote best practices across program management, product operations, business processes, and organizational execution.
  • Support enterprise roadmap planning and maintain the governance structures required for effective prioritization and execution.
  • Define and maintain key performance indicators for product optimization and operational performance.
  • Develop executive dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide leadership with actionable visibility into portfolio health, delivery performance, launch readiness, operational efficiency, and business results.
  • Establish measurement processes covering areas such as time-to-market, laboratory throughput, turnaround times, revenue performance, reimbursement outcomes, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence and Data Analytics teams to automate reporting, improve data accessibility, and generate actionable operational insights.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness and delivery efficiency across the organization.
  • Maintain a prioritized pipeline of continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic business priorities.
  • Implement scalable governance, workflow, and decision-making frameworks that improve organizational execution.
  • Drive process standardization and simplification across product, operational, clinical, and related functions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the identification, analysis, implementation, and measurement of process improvement initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of operational best practices, performance management disciplines, and sustainable process improvements.
  • Lead change management and stakeholder adoption activities to ensure improvements are effectively embedded across the organization.
  • Ensure processes and initiatives comply with applicable policies, procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support organizational objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Engineering, Product Management, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in Product Operations, Portfolio Management, Program Management, Continuous Improvement, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience leading complex, cross-functional, enterprise-level programs or optimization functions.
  • Demonstrated success planning and delivering complex initiatives, leading Kaizen or continuous improvement activities, managing organizational change, and designing or improving business processes.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement, operational excellence, process optimization, governance, and stakeholder facilitation.
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to present complex operational information, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to use performance data to identify opportunities and drive measurable improvements.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders, build cross-functional alignment, and lead initiatives without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Strong change management and adoption leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams through new processes, governance models, and operating practices.
  • Highly organized and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives and competing priorities.
  • Experience working in diagnostics, genomics, laboratory services, healthcare technology, biotechnology, or other regulated healthcare environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CLIA, CAP, FDA, or comparable healthcare and laboratory regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while collaborating with product, clinical, laboratory, operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel periodically based on business needs.
