You will design, develop, implement, and support scalable applications that are critical to 24/7 manufacturing operations.

The position combines hands-on software development with technical leadership, application integration, troubleshooting, and project coordination.
You will work with technologies including .NET, C#, SQL Server, T-SQL, CI/CD, and potentially Siemens Opcenter/Camstar.
The role is highly collaborative, requiring close partnership with business stakeholders, IT teams, and global technical teams.
This is a fully remote contract opportunity for an experienced developer who thrives in complex, mission-critical manufacturing environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Design, develop, implement, enhance, and support enterprise manufacturing applications and MES solutions.
  • Serve as a technical lead, translating business and functional requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable application solutions.
  • Develop and maintain applications using .NET and C#, with strong use of SQL/T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Design and support relational database solutions and integrations between enterprise applications and manufacturing systems.
  • Support applications operating within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, ensuring reliability, performance, and timely issue resolution.
  • Apply software development best practices across the full SDLC, including Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
  • Manage source code and development workflows using Git, TFVC, SVN, or comparable version-control technologies.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluate technical options, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Support integrations across ERP, MES, shop-floor, and other enterprise manufacturing systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex application and integration issues and drive problems through to resolution.
  • Coordinate technical activities and contribute to project planning, prioritization, and delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with global teams while managing multiple priorities and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum development practices and continuous improvement of application development processes.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of professional software or application development experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong hands-on development experience with .NET and C#.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server, including relational database concepts and application integrations.
  • Experience with source-control technologies such as Git, TFVC, SVN, or similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Delivery (CD).
  • Experience supporting business-critical applications within a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical leadership, troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is strongly preferred, particularly Siemens Opcenter/Camstar.
  • Experience with MES modeling and configuration is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular is preferred.
  • Experience integrating ERP, MES, and shop-floor systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions and manage multiple priorities across global teams.
  • Candidates must be able to work on a W-2 basis; C2C and third-party arrangements are not accepted.
Benefits:
  • Contract opportunity with a long-standing enterprise client.
  • $67–$69 per hour pay rate.
  • Fully remote position available to candidates working in Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.
  • Monday–Friday schedule, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
  • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale manufacturing applications and mission-critical MES solutions.
  • Exposure to global technology environments, modern software-development practices, and complex manufacturing systems.
  • Opportunity to work in a technical leadership capacity while remaining hands-on with application development.
  • Additional employment-related benefits and conditions may apply based on the contract arrangement.
