About This Position

General Responsibilities

The Overnight Supervisor, Adult Services functions as a shift supervisor for the residential program and is responsible to assist program leadership in the safe and effective operations of the program on the overnight shift. This position assists with training and implementation of clinical behavioral interventions and teaching strategies for individuals in the residential setting where applicable. Ensures the highest level of care, service and engagement with the residents of the homes. Ensures completion of overnight chore checklists and that all staff duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the homes. Ensures sleep data collection, and behavioral/clinical data when / if residents are awake. Assists with ensuring all requirements are met for acquiring and maintaining all applicable licenses, certifications and accreditations.

Schedule: Sunday- Wednesday 11p-9a

Starting Rate: $21.50/hour (+) based on years of experience

Basic Qualifications

Education / Training/ Experience: Four (4) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism OR A bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 1 year of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism is required.

Certifications / Licensure: A valid US driver’s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old. Must be capable of attaining approved Melmark driver status. Must be capable of attaining approved Medication Administration Certification and pass medication on overnight shift. Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention.

Skill(s): Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Must possess strong teaching skills and the ability to implement function-based interventions for the reduction of challenging behaviors and to aid in continued learning and development of those we serve. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required. Strong communication skills, both written and oral are required. Strong organizational skills and problem solving skills are also required.
