About This Position
Position Summary
The Spa Supervisor assists the Spa Manager in overseeing daily spa operations to ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction and team performance. This role supervises spa therapists, technicians, and front desk staff while maintaining a professional, safe, and welcoming environment. The Spa Supervisor helps implement service standards, manage scheduling, support marketing initiatives, and monitor the spa's financial performance.
Primary ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience
Ensure guests receive exceptional service from arrival to departure.
Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
Maintain a warm, welcoming, and relaxing atmosphere in all spa areas.
Team Leadership
Supervise and motivate spa staff, including therapists, estheticians, and spa attendants.
Conduct daily team briefings and regular performance feedback sessions.
Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new spa team members.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
Operations & Administration
Assist with staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
Monitor inventory of spa products and supplies; place orders as needed.
Ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained to safety and cleanliness standards.
Assist in developing and enforcing spa policies, procedures, and standards.
Prepare reports on spa performance, sales, and customer feedback.
Sales & Marketing
Promote spa services, packages, and retail products to guests.
Support the implementation of marketing and promotional activities.
Encourage team members to meet retail sales and upselling goals.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Keep current on industry trends and new treatments.
Monitor staff certifications and licenses.
Responsibilities
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality, wellness, or business is a plus.
Minimum 2 years experience in a spa, wellness, or hospitality environment.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate a team and foster excellent guest service.
Proficient in point-of-sale (POS) and spa management software.
Knowledge of spa treatments and wellness trends.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
