IT Technician (Full-time, On-Site) in Stowe, Vermont at Trapp Family Lodge

Duties

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware components such as computers, servers, and networking equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain and support operating systems including Windows, Linux, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Manage and monitor IT infrastructure to ensure security, stability, and scalability across all systems.
• Develop and implement automation scripts using Python or Java to streamline routine tasks and improve system efficiency.
• Support cloud-based services by configuring APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) for seamless integration with internal applications.
• Collaborate with development teams following Agile methodologies to deploy updates using SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
• Assist in the deployment of DevOps tools and practices to enhance continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
• Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing issues related to operating systems or software applications.
• Contribute to the documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports for future reference.

Experience

• Proven experience supporting IT infrastructure within a corporate environment or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems such as Windows Server, Linux distributions, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with programming languages including Python and Java for automation and development purposes.
• Hands-on experience with APIs integration, DevOps practices, and Agile project management methodologies.
• Understanding of SDLC processes for software development projects from planning through deployment.
• Knowledge of database management systems such as Oracle or similar technologies is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently while communicating clearly with team members at all levels.
