Job Description

With our continued growth in Canada, we are seeking a Funder. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be a client focused, highly professional self-starter with demonstrated experience in a similar function. He/she will also have a positive attitude with a high level of quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Primary responsibilities:
- Calculate mortgage payouts and generate funding documention incuding payout letters, statements of reciept and disbursements
- Manage a queue of files and complete all related funding activities
- Calculate amounts to pay for secured debts
- Liaise with clients and lenders; resolve and escalate issues as necessary
- Ensure proper information is given for payment of debts
- Conduct the requisition of funds from lenders
- Provide internal guidelines to the trust accounting team regarding proof of receipt of funds and disbursements
- To complete daily ad-hoc funding related tasks; such as cheque separation, Intria faxing, and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- College diploma
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar function
- Familiarity with mortgages is preferred
- Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail including experience analyzing complex financial transactions
- Strong inter-personal, verbal, written communication skills
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
