Job Description

At UP Fundraising, we use real performance data, field insights, and clear KPIs to deliver face-to-face fundraising programs that generate sustainable support for our charity partners.

We cultivate and empower the next generation of fundraising leaders—people who inspire action, build meaningful connections, and help create lasting change. Through every conversation, we strengthen communities, amplify impact, and make generosity a natural part of everyday life.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Fundraising Manager to oversee and expand our door-to-door fundraising operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing Team Leads, developing fundraising talent, and ensuring campaigns consistently achieve performance goals.

As a Fundraising Manager, you will lead from the front—not from behind a desk. You will spend the majority of your time in the field coaching teams, driving performance, improving fundraising systems, and ensuring campaigns maintain the highest standards of quality and professionalism. Managers are expected to spend approximately 80% of their work week in the field actively leading, coaching, and supporting fundraising teams.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in door-to-door fundraising, face-to-face fundraising, or direct sales leadership and understands how to build high-performing teams that deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate Team Leads and face-to-face fundraising teams to achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets.
  • Spend approximately 80% of the work week in the field actively leading, coaching, and supporting fundraising teams while maintaining direct involvement in campaign execution.
  • Actively participate in fundraising campaigns to demonstrate best practices, maintain credibility, and set performance standards.
  • Deliver ongoing training, pitch development, objection-handling workshops, and performance coaching to improve team effectiveness.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and accountability to maximize results.
  • Manage scheduling, territory planning, transportation logistics, and daily operational requirements for fundraising teams.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and field observations to ensure compliance with client expectations, fundraising standards, and organizational policies.
  • Track, analyze, and report campaign performance metrics, donor acquisition results, retention indicators, and team productivity.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement effective fundraising strategies that drive sustainable growth.
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop fundraising talent, creating a strong pipeline of future Team Leads and Managers.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, high-energy team culture focused on growth, professionalism, and results.
  • Ensure all donor interactions reflect the values of our charity partners and uphold the reputation of UP Fundraising.

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in door-to-door fundraising, face-to-face fundraising, or direct sales.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to confidently engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full-time availability, including flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.
  • Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience managing fundraising, canvassing, or sales teams.
  • Knowledge of fundraising CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and data management skills.
  • Experience scaling teams and developing emerging leaders.

What We Offer

  • Competitive annual compensation of $50,000–$75,000 per year (including bonuses), based on experience.
  • Health and dental benefits after 3 months of employment.
  • Paid vacation and sick leave.
  • Ongoing training, leadership development, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Direct mentorship from experienced fundraising leaders.
  • Clear advancement opportunities to Senior Manager and Director-level positions based on performance and leadership results.
  • A collaborative, energetic, and mission-driven work environment.

Who You Are

You are a motivated leader who believes in the power of human connection. You understand that successful fundraising requires resilience, consistency, and the ability to inspire others. You're comfortable leading from the front, engaging directly with the public, and helping your team achieve meaningful results.

You are data-driven, accountable, and passionate about developing people. You thrive in performance-oriented environments and take pride in helping teams exceed expectations while creating positive impact for charitable organizations.

If you're ready to build, lead, and grow a high-performing fundraising team while making a meaningful difference, we encourage you to apply.
