Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides leadership and coordination of spiritual care services while advancing and operationalizing the CPH Way across the organization. This strategic role delivers direct spiritual care to patients, families, and staff; coordinates volunteer chaplain resources; and leads the development, coaching, and integration of culture initiatives that embed Compassionate, Personalized, Healthcare into daily work. Partners with staff, supervisors, and leaders to translate CPH Way principles into consistent behaviors, team practices, and patient experiences.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree (M.Div. and/or M.A.) from an accredited college, seminary, university or theological institute in theology, spirituality, ministry, or closely related field.
- Completion of Clinical Pastoral Education coursework
- A minimum of two (2) years of clinical and/or pastoral experience in a healthcare setting or other ministry
- A minimum of four (4) years of advanced administrative experience
- BLSP (CPR) from American Heart Association
- Board certified within two (2) years by one of the following Pastoral Care Organizations:
- Association of Professional Chaplains (APC)
- National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC)
- National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC)
- Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (APCE
- Must be able to provide a letter from applicants’ religious authority indicating good standing with her/his faith tradition or denomination (except when in conflict with CPH employment policies).
- Must be endorsed by established ecclesiastical or church authorities and/or religious superiors.
- Must maintain active relationship with his/her faith tradition
- Must be able to work with and minister to a variety of persons from diverse ethnic and national origins as well as cultural and spiritual traditions
