This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of pension calculation systems used across complex retirement programs.
You will be responsible for validating system configurations and executing structured testing scenarios to ensure precise pension benefit calculations.
The position offers the opportunity to develop deep expertise in defined benefit pension systems across Canadian and U.S. markets.
You will work closely with actuarial, business, and technical teams to identify critical test cases, validate system outputs, and resolve calculation discrepancies.

You will contribute directly to system quality, process improvement, and the successful deployment of pension administration solutions.

- Collaborate with functional leads and business analysts to define test scope, requirements, and validation criteria for pension calculation systems.
- Analyze technical documentation and configuration specifications to identify critical testing scenarios and edge cases.
- Execute pension benefit calculation tests, validate outputs, and document discrepancies or system anomalies.
- Maintain and enhance test suites to reflect system updates, new functionalities, and evolving business rules.
- Participate in configuration review sessions and cross-functional meetings to validate calculation accuracy and system behavior.
- Work closely with development, actuarial, and business teams to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve identified issues.
- Propose improvements to testing methodologies, validation processes, and system quality assurance practices.
- Ensure thorough documentation of test results and maintain high standards of accuracy and traceability.
- University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in defined benefit pension administration or related retirement system environments.
- Experience in pension calculation validation, system configuration, or retirement software testing.
- Strong knowledge of pension administration tools and calculation engines.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; VBA knowledge is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex calculation scenarios.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and professional rigor.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is required.
